Darlington are looking at signing Crystal Palace striker Simon Thomas.
The Quakers have had the 25-year old to train with them as manager Steve Staunton looks to strengthen his playing list.
Thomas recently completed a loan deal with Conference club Ebbsfleet United and is hoping for regular first team football, which he would be likely to get at Darlington Arena.
Palace assistant Mick Jones confirmed that Thomas had had a run with Darlington.
"Simon joined up with Darlington for a few days for Steve Staunton to have a look at him in their set up," he said.
