Danny Ward hopes for Bolton chance

Danny Ward hopes Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle gives him a chance to prove himself at Premiership level.

Coyle will assess Ward's development on the pre-season trip to America next week before deciding whether he is ready for first-team action. And the young gun is keen to prove to the Wanderers manager he can make an impact in the top flight.

"I want to push on and try and get into the first team," Ward, who made two brief Premier League appearances at the start of last season, told the Bolton News.

"If I get my head down and work hard it's a definite target for me. I've got a great chance here at Bolton and I've just got to get my head down and keep working."
