Danny Sturridge admits his Dad is the driving force behind his determination to succeed at Chelsea.

Everyone remembers his uncles, Dean and Simon, as strikers for Derby, Wolves, Birmingham City and Stoke City.

But few recall his dad, Michael, who spent years battling for first-team recognition at Birmingham.

Daniel reveals: "Dad is the person who drives me on to do better and make the most of my career.

"He was at Birmingham but never got the opportunity to play in the team. It makes me appreciate everything I have."
