Danns determined to stay at Birmingham

Despite a lack of first team chances, Neil Danns wants to stay at Birmingham City.

Nottingham Forest have again been sniffing around Danns, but he insisted he didn't want to leave on loan.

"I have contemplated it," he admitted to the Birmingham Mail. "But as you saw the other night, I love playing football, I love getting the ball and being involved.

"I'm not going to sulk, I'm not going to sob. I'm a man now, I've got to take it on the chin but at the end of the day I do want to play.

"I train hard and it's times like the Hereford game where you have to give the gaffer a little nudge and say 'I'm still here'. Hopefully I did that.

"I want to be a Birmingham City player. I don't want to go anywhere else. Hopefully the manager can see that."
