Danilo D'Ambrosio not giving up on Inter Milan career

Danilo D'Ambrosio isn't giving up on his Inter Milan career.

The fullback has struggled to get into Roberto Mancini's line-up.

“He's fine, he's not yet 100 per cent after the car crash he was involved in on the way back from training before the game against Fiorentina," Vincenzo Pisacane told Gianluca Di Marzio's website.

“I think he'll be back with the squad in a few weeks, and we could see him on the pitch. Danilo has a stubbornness about him, and an incredible mental strength. It's difficult to keep him down.

“He knows that the pecking order has changed, but he'll do everything to change it again.

“Even though he's not playing, he's held in high esteem by the Coach [Roberto Mancini], despite the things which have been said which even surprised me.

“He will do everything to give Mancini a headache and take back the position that was his at the end of last season.

“A lot of teams were interested in him, but we spoke and rejected a lot of options to stay at Inter. Now it's up to him, and he has to show Mancini that he can trust him completely."
