Daniele Adani has rejected an approach from Inter Milan.
New Inter coach Roberto Mancini wanted Adani to join his backroom staff.
Adani said: "I feel the need to explain how things went over the past few days, above all because I really want to thank Roberto Mancini - who is world class on the field, on the bench and in life - for considering me good enough to be part of his Inter staff.
"The attention Roberto showed to me is one of the greatest shows of respect I received in my career.
"However, my career has taken a different path recently, one that I am enthusiastic about and never expected to become so important for me.
"I am fortunate and privileged enough to explain football to people with all the love and passion I have for this sport and I want to continue doing that as a professional, dedicating all my time to it.
"I gave me word to Sky, have a good rapport here and there are projects to bring forward day by day. I have much more to do here with my 'teammates' at Sky.
"Roberto Mancini's Inter will certainly go far too. He is a special person who I wish all the best for the future."
