And while he has previously admitted to being "flattered" by the Blues' interest, he has now urged Sevilla to show him "respect" by taking a serious look at the package on offer. "My agent has been in England for some time handling the offer made by Chelsea and that is really what interests me," he told Antena 3.

"This is a wonderful chance for my career and I want to take advantage of it.

"If they [Sevilla] respect me they will analyse the offer made by Chelsea.

"I have behaved very well during my four years, so I am just asking Sevilla to behave as well - it is a necessity they look at the offer which has arrived.

"I am not looking to leave Sevilla in a bad way, but I have already said I want to play for a European giant and take advantage of what is going my way at the moment."
