Daniel Alves has defended his form after Barcelona's shock 1-0 defeat to Numancia on Sunday.

"As new players, we have to adapt to a new style of play and a few new colleagues," said the Brazilian fullback. "We are a team that attacks and plays more of a passing game than I did with Sevilla, which had a more direct style of football.

"It is therefore impossible for me to play the same, but I do so with the same desire."

Daniel Alves added: "I am sure we will win the league, knowing that there are very strong teams and have been reinforced very well. We will not fail from a lack of fight. The players are very motivated in training and eager to change the dynamics of the last two years."
