Daniel Akindayiuni impressed on his Tottenham U18 debut in victory at Cardiff City.

The Under-16 striker was drafted in for the trip to Wales and set Spurs on the way to a fine win by opening the scoring in the 26th minute.

Coach Alex Inglethorpe told the club's website: "He had one-on-one situations and narrowly missed on both occasions, but we were pleased to see him get into those positions and he then scored our first goal when Ollie Modeste broke forward from centre-half and found Grant Ward who crossed well with his left foot and Daniel was in a great position to finish."
