Despite defeat last week to Blackburn Rovers, Liverpool reserves coach Gary Ablett was pleased with the performances of young strike-pair Dani Pacheco and Krisztian Nemeth.
"In terms of a performance that's probably as well as Daniel has done all season to be fair to him," he told liverpoolfc.tv.
"He tried to make things happen and he can be pleased with his performance but not too many other players can say that."
The match ended with Krisztian Nemeth receiving treatment on his ankle. The Hungarian striker was making his first start after returning to action after missing the start of the season due to an ankle injury.
"He is carrying a little knock but it was nice to see Krisztian play the full 90 minutes," said Ablett.
"We didn't expect him to play the full 90 minutes but because we were chasing the game I left him on because he can always get you a goal."
