Dani Alves gives nod to Man City in Juventus exit post on social media

Dani Alves has confirmed his exit from Juventus on Instagram.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Chelsea and Manchester City believed to be the leading suitors for his signature.

However, Alves has seemingly alluded that he will choose to join Pep Guardiola at City next season in his social media farewell, saying “money is never going to keep me somewhere."

It was revealed yesterday that Alves would take a £1.7m-per-year less to move to Manchester rather than join Chelsea.

Part of the caption read: "Today ends our professional relationship and I will take with me all those who truly and truly make Juve a great club," he said in Spanish.

"I would like to thank all the Juventus fans for the year I've had, to my team-mates who welcomed me like the professionals they are, for a club that wins and reaches finals.

"I think that my respect for this club and its supporters was my dedication, my passion and all my effort to make the club greater every single day.

"I apologise to the Juventus fans if sometimes they thought I had done something to offend them. I never had that intention, I just live very spontaneously and few people understand it. Even though it appears that I am not perfect, my heart is pure."
