Daly confident Dundee Utd can upset Rangers in cup

Dundee United striker Jon Daly scored both goals for the Arabs against Aberdeen on Saturday as they netted for the ninth time in four games with a 2-2 draw at Pittodrie. The Irishman believes his team possess enough attacking options to cause the Ibrox side problems when they meet for a place in the last four of Active Nation Scottish Cup on Wednesday.

He said: "I think the team has been scoring quite freely all season, no matter who has been playing up front. The manager has good options up front and all over the park. There is good strength in depth in the squad. It is a big game on Wednesday so hopefully we can make it to the semi-final.

"I don't see why we can't win. At Ibrox we were 3-1 down and everybody had ruled us out but we came back to 3-3, which I don't think anybody expected us to do. We showed great character and strength of mind to come back like that. It is a one-off game and I don't see why we can't do it."
