Dalglish ok with Liverpool fans ribbing Torres

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish was not too perturbed by the fact the Reds fans were getting stuck into former player Fernando Torres on Sunday.

The Spaniard made his Chelsea debut against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge, his old club winning 1-0, prompting travelling fans to chant 'You should have stayed with a big club'.

After the match, Dalglish was happy for that to go ahead as it shows the supporters are loyal to the Anfield cause.

"Our supporters are entitled to their opinions and know where the players' loyalties lie. They have to show respect to this club," he said.

"The most important people are the people still at Liverpool and they always will be. Whatever someone else wants to do with their life, that's their choice."

And Dalglish rubbed more salt into the wound by saying none of Chelsea's forwards, including Torres, put in an exceptionally good shift.

"I do not think any of their forwards had a day which they will be happy with," he added.

"Our goalkeeper did not have too much to do because the players in front of him defended brilliantly."
