Dalglish insists Liverpool league form has deserved better

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish insists they've performed well in the league this season.

Dalglish believes the Reds' performances have merited more - and is backing his players to improve their home record in the remainder of the campaign.

He told liverpoolfc.tv: "We could have - and I think we deserve - a lot more points than what we have got. I think the performances have deserved it, but we haven't got them.

"We'll just keep plugging away. We believe in what we're doing and the way we're going about our work has, in the main, been in the right way, so we'll just continue to do that.

"Whether you're at home or whether you're away, when you're playing for Liverpool Football Club you're expected to do the best you can and you're expected to get as much as you can from every game.

"There are a lot of games we've drawn at Anfield that maybe we could have won, and even if we'd taken four more wins from the seven draws we'd have eight more points.

"We're not too far away. We'll keep going and see what happens at the end of the season."
