Dalglish implores Liverpool to become more efficient in front of goal

Kenny Dalglish is urging his Liverpool players to become hungrier in front of goal if they want to improve this season.

The Reds take on League OneOldham Athletic in the FA Cup third round at Anfield tomorrow night and the Scot hopes that perhaps they can work harder on their efficiency in the final third after being beaten 3-0 by league leaders Manchester City on Tuesday night.

"I think it was a good learning opportunity for us," said Dalglish. "It only reflects the importance of being clinical - and they were clinical.

"If we want to get to where everyone wants to take the club then we have to be clinical."
