Dalglish: Gerrard presence will end Liverpool jitters

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish admits they have missed the presence of fit-again skipper Steven Gerrard.

Dalglish believes his presence is just as valuable as his talent.

"If guys like Steven and Jamie Carragher can pass on their knowledge and the feeling of the fans to the new players that come in, then we will be all the better for it," said the manager.

"If you have got someone like Steven in your squad, it is going to raise the profile and the standard. We want to have a really strong squad and him being in it makes it much stronger."
