Dalglish fears for Liverpool striker Suarez over reaction to ban

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish fears for his star striker Luis Suarez over his eight-match FA ruling.

It still is unclear when the FA will be in a position to release the written verdict of the case between the Liverpool striker and Manchester United defender Patrice Evra, which ended in Suarez being found guilty of racial abuse.

Dalglish said: "I think where they (The FA) have to be more supportive is the reaction from people - and then antagonism of the crowds - towards Luis. It could be problematic. That is the great problem.

"If that's the way they have always done it then we cannot complain. I wouldn't know because I have never been involved in anything like this before.

"We will just consider the players who we have that are fit and well. If Luis is fit and well, he will be considered for the matches until such time is that he under sanction.

"He is a very strong character. Obviously he would be better off without (the furore), but he is strong enough and has handled it very well up to now, so I wouldn't expect him to show anything other than total strength.

"Luis was quite emotional, very grateful (for the support he received.) It's never a disappointment when your team-mates and people you work for give you their undivided support. For me, it's the least he deserves."
