Dalglish wrote in the Mirror: "It's sad that some people are questioning whether Danny Welbeck's flick for the winning goal against Sweden was deliberate or accidental.
"For a start, it impugns Welbeck's integrity because he said after the game that it was deliberate.
"And anyway, it was obvious to me and I would have thought most people that it was quite simply a wonderful piece of skill.
"Welbeck knew exactly where the goal was and he knew exactly what he was doing.
"We should be praising him to the skies for it, not asking whether he meant it."
