Dalglish defends England tactics - and takes pop at Man Utd's Evra

Former Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish says there's nothing wrong with England's cagey tactics.

King Kenny also took a pop at Manchester United fullback Patrice Evra as explained in the Mirror: "England have taken some stick for the way they played against France on Monday.

"I see Patrice Evra criticised them after the match in Donetsk by saying they played like Chelsea in the Champions League Final.

"Well, as far as I can recall, Chelsea lifted the trophy that night in Munich. It's not a bad beginning to a tournament if you start playing like the Champions League winners.

"Would people rather that England had played open and attacking football and not even qualified for the tournament? I don't think so."
