Dalglish: AVB lucky to inherit Spurs work of Redknapp

Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish says the pressure is on Andre Villas-Boas to build on the success of Harry Redknapp at Tottenham.

Dalglish wrote in the Sunday Mirror: "The luckiest manager in the Premier League has got to be Andre Villas-Boas.

"Harry Redknapp did a fantastic job in his time at Spurs and it's not a bad job to walk into.

"If you were the new Tottenham boss and you had inherited everything Harry built up there, you would be pleased.

"You would be sitting at home and raising a glass to Harry every night, saying 'Cheers, Harry'.

"I don't know how significant losing Luka Modric will be for them, but they will need to sign somebody to replace him.

"Andre looked a bit lonely when he was the Chelsea boss. He looked like he needed help.

"But he has appointed his own assistant to work with him this time and I think that will make a big difference."
