Dalglish: Allardyce right man in charge at Blackburn

Liverpool and Blackburn Rovers legend Kenny Dalglish says Sam Allardyce is the right man in charge at Ewood Park.

Dalglish was the manager that guided Rovers to the Premier League crown in 1995.

He told the Lancashire Telegraph: "It is brilliant to see the club sitting where they are.

"Of course they can't relax yet and Sam won't want them to, but they deserve a lot of praise for where they are in the table.

"I know they will have got great satisfaction out of beating Bolton and I am delighted to see them doing well.

"There is a seven-point gap between them and West Ham, and Sam seems to be able to make sure his sides come out on top in the mini leagues they are in.

"Sam has to get a mention for where he has got Blackburn so far.

"It is a fantastic achievement for a club the size of Blackburn to stay in the Premier League for the last 10 years and I am sure they will be in it for a lot longer as well."
