Liverpool owners are ready to perform a root-and-branch review of the club this summer. The Sunday Mirror says John W Henry's Fenway Sports Group will undertake a thorough review of the season in the summer - and all levels of management will come under scrutiny.
And despite a claim from managing director Ian Ayre that manager Kenny Dalglish has the full backing of the owners, his position will be reviewed. Dalglish has been bankrolled to the tune of £115m in the transfer market since returning to the Anfield hot-seat 15 months ago.
He has already won the Carling Cup and earned a place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup. But Liverpool are struggling for a top-six Premier League finish.
