Eugene Dadi has been released from his contract with the Perth Glory.
The 36-year old Ivorian-born striker has played just six matches this season so he asked the club if he was able to be released and deputy chairman Lui Giuliani said the club was happy to oblige.
"Eugene is an experienced player and felt frustrated not to be regularly playing in our senior squad," said Giuliani.
"Eugene wants to extend his career past this season and to do so he believes he needs to be getting as many minutes on the pitch as possible.
"He felt his best interests were going to be served elsewhere and consequently we agreed to his request to mutually terminate the remainder of his contract.
"We are grateful for the contribution Eugene has made to Perth Glory in his time at the club and wish him the best as he seeks new horizons."
Dadi joined the club in early 2008 and was the club's equal leading goalscorer in the 2008/09 A-League season.
It is believed he is now training with the Wellington Phoenix in a bid to continue his career in the A-League.
