The father of Schalke striker Andre Schurrle has ruled out a January move to Chelsea.

Chelsea are planning a bid for the Germany international next month, but Joachim Schurrle says they'll have to wait until the summer for his son.

"There's still plenty of time until the summer. Before then, a transfer is not an issue. André is very happy in Leverkusen, the team is playing great football.

"He'll take his time," said Schurrle Snr.
