The father of Manchester United defender Daley Blind has confirmed Roma want to sign him today.

Blind has been put up for sale by United today.

And father Danny, the former Holland coach, revealed: "I can confirm that Roma wants him, but Manchester United does not want him to go on a loan basis, only on a definitive basis. They do not want to sell him, only in the summer.

"The price is good, but a deal is going to be difficult.

"It will be very difficult, because Manchester United wants to use him in the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup.
