The father of St Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has welcomed interested from Italy.

Aubameyang was unable to make the breakthrough at AC Milan earlier in his career and a move back 'home' would hold some appeal.

"My son is having a fantastic season in the French league," Pierre Aubame told Sky Sports. "He is happy and we are happy.

"There is interest in Germany, Italy and England. We have been invited by clubs. I will go to meet Fiorentina, who are interested and want the boy.

"Milan? I would love Pierre to return there if they want him because it is like home to him."
