The father of Lionel Messi insists his son was fit to play in Barcelona's thrashing at Bayern Munich.

There were claims that Jorge Messi had said Lionel was not fully fit.

But he told Ole: "I never said that Leo was not able to play, and there are people who were with me and they know this.

"I asked Leo how he was and he said it looked good, that the studies had been good. And I expected him to play. That was literally what I said."
