The father of Manchester City winger David Silva insists his son is tough enough for the Premier League.
Silva's father, Fernando Jimenez Silva, has rubbished claims the ex-Valencia is too frail for the hurly-burly of English football.
He said: "Anyone who thinks this, it shows that you do not know anything.
"The Premier League is a very demanding competition to play in, but my son is not any weaker than other players. Although he is tiny, he works and fights and goes head to head. City's fans were surprised [to see this]."
