Manchester City have a deal in place for Libertad Asuncion youngster Jesus Medina.
The Paraguayan whizkid is joining City for a fee of €3.4m next month.
Medina, 20, will be immediately loaned to City's sister club New York City FC for the new MLS season.
The midfielder will put pen to paper on a five-year contract.
Medina's father, Francisco, told ABC Cardinal: "The MLS has grown a lot. If he leaves, he will go to New York City for a year and then he will see if Manchester City takes him.
"The United States club had several good players like Andrea Pirlo; I understand that the president of the City is handling it."
