Dad explains why Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain chose Arsenal over Man Utd

The father of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has explained why he chose Arsenal over Manchester United.

Oxlade-Chamberlain left Southampton for the Emirates last summer, for a fee of around £12million, having come through the youth system at St Mary’s.

Former Stoke City star Mark Chamberlain told talkSPORT: “We spoke to Sir Alex Ferguson at Man United.

“But he’d played against Arsenal’s academy for many years and, while Southampton always got beaten, he admired the way they played.

“He’d always say ‘why can’t we play like Arsenal’? When the opportunity came along, Arsenal’s a massive club [so he had to take it].”

daddy looked at the roster and saw that his kid had no chance of decent playing time at United while arsenal's roster is becoming laughable.

arsenal is a massive club? i think he meant to say arsenal is a feeder club. 7 years of no trophies, a manager who's stuck repeating the same tired excuses for almost a decade, falling further down the table each season, and their profits are shrinking.

nothing but stupidity reigns over mark's head.Arsene is gunners chief "arsonist".poor oxlade!papa din do well in naming him too!!
