Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan is edging closer to joining Inter Milan.
Forlan's father has confirmed the Atletico Madrid striker is "waiting for Inter to conclude the Samuel Eto'o sale. His agent is in Milan."
"I'd like to see him at Inter, as they are a great club," Pablo Forlan told FCInterNews.it.
"His agent is in Milan for the negotiations and Diego is anxiously waiting for this situation to be resolved.
"However, as we all know, we are waiting for Inter to conclude the Eto'o sale. If that 'triangle' with Eto'o is concluded, then it's practically certain Diego will end up at Inter.
"My Diego would be very happy at Inter, as he'd play with some of his best friends, like Esteban Cambiasso and Diego Milito.
"Unfortunately there is a little anxiety, because the transfer market concludes on August 31 and Diego is unhappy at Atletico. He gave more than he received and was not treated as well as he should've been."
