The father of Mesut Ozil earned €7 million when his son left Real Madrid for Arsenal in August, it has been reported.El Confidencial says Mustafa Ozil made the windfall from agent's fees as part of Mesut's €45 million move from Real to the Gunners.

It's claimed Mustafa demanded 15 per cent for the transfer on top of the fee going to Real. Approaches were made to Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal during the summer.

It's also reported the rift between Ozil and Real began at the end of the 2012/13 season when Mustafa demanded a double-your-money new contract worth €7 million-a-year.

Mustafa now no longer takes care of his son's affairs, with brother Mutlu his new agent this season.
