The father of Eric Dier denies he's rejected a new contract offer from Sporting Lisbon.
It was reported the England U21 defender would be sold by Sporting this summer after turning down a new deal.
"Contrary to what has been reported, no one spoke with Eric regarding a renewal and in no time did he say he did not want to play at Sporting," Dier's father told Record.
"It's not the best time to talk about it. The only thing we know is that he will have to be present at Sporting on 1 July (for preseason)."
Dier has been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham in recent days.
