The father of Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry has confirmed contact with Bayern Munich.

Germany's Olympics hero is expected to join Bayern today ahead of moving to Werder Bremen on-loan.

Gnabry is inside the final year of his Arsenal deal and can't see a future for himself staying with the Gunners.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has stated he expects the winger to stay, but all signs are he will be returning to Germany today.

"Serge goes to Bayern and from there to Werder," the player's father Jean-Hermann Gnabry was quoted by the Stuttgarter Nachrichten last night.
