The father and agent of Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain says a move to Arsenal is close.

Jorge Higuain says talks over a fee are close to being concluded between the two clubs. "Nothing is signed yet, but I assure you that the negotiations between the clubs are at an advanced stage. We will not discuss the contract before there is an agreement to transfer between clubs.

"Arsenal made a bigger offer than Juventus," said Higuain Snr.
