The father of Martin Odegaard says a move away from Stromsgodset may be delayed.
The 15 year-old midfielder is being linked with Liverpool and Manchester United.
Hans Erik Odegaard told CNN: "In the end it's all about development. Nothing else matters. I'm allergic to boys who are satisfied getting into an academy or winning a first-team contract, because you haven't achieved nothing.
"It's a danger when there's so much attention to him from clubs and the media. I think he has handled it very well so far and he has his feet on the ground.
"When we are talking with the clubs we have just talked about sport. We're also in a position that it's not obvious that he will go abroad now."
