Sunderland defender Paulo da Silva is relaxed over his wait for a Premier League appearance. Da Silva joined the Black Cats in the summer after a spell with Mexican side Toluca and has made just one late substitute appearance in the league against Hull earlier this month.
I enjoyed the game on Tuesday," Da Silva told the Sunderland Echo. "It was good to start.
"I wait now on what the manager says for Sunday (against Wolves). It's his decision and I respect it.
"I have not been long in England. It took time to get here because of my visa."
Da Silva is determined to make his mark at the Stadium of Light and is undertaking an intensive course to improve his English.
He added: "I have been learning English for one month.
"My English is not very good yet, but getting better. I want to learn quickly to help me on the pitch and in the club.
"The Premier League is a great challenge, but people at the club have been good to me and helped me."
