Czech Republic expect big Scotland test

The Czechs believe Scotland will provide ideal opposition as they gear up to face co-hosts Switzerland on June 7 in the Euro 2008 opening match.

AC Milan left-back Marek Jankulovski said: "I want to beat Scotland to help with our preparations.

"I know Scottish teams from facing Celtic. They're not easy. Scotland will give us the type of problems we'll face at Euro 2008."

Osasuna midfielder Jaroslav Plasil meanwhile offered a ringing endorsement of Friday's opponents.

"Scottish football has improved a lot recently. Rangers were UEFA Cup finalists, Celtic made the last 16 in the Champions League and Aberdeen did well in Europe too.

"S o Scotland are perfect rivals for us and will provide a stern test ahead of Euro 2008."
