Curtis Good is looking forward to getting a full preseason under his belt at Newcastle United.
The defender is confident he'll give himself a chance of winning manager Alan Pardew's attention with a better fitness base to work from.
"The biggest thing is to start well in pre-season with Newcastle and move a bit closer to the start of it all," he told the Evening Chronicle.
"Last year I came a month into it.
"I was in at the end of July so I felt I was behind after that.
"So this year I am looking forward to coming back refreshed after spending some time at home."
