Alan Curbishley could make a shock return to West Ham United.
The Daily Express says multi-millionaire David Sullivan is close to completing a takeover deal at Upton Park and has made enquiries to appoint Curbishley, who left in September 2008 following boardroom decisions to sell Anton Ferdinand and George McCartney against his wishes.
Curbishley would only return to the club if certain boardroom members were removed. He is also yet to be paid £2million compensation owed after winning a case of constructive dismissal against the club last month.
