Cuper calls for Parma unity

Ahead of today's match against Livorno, new Parma coach Hector Cuper has called on the club to be united as they battle against relegation.

He said: "At this moment, all the players have to stick together and be united - one for all and all for one. The team is the important thing.

"No Coach can perform miracles in three days, but I like that I have already seen the team confident and concentrated. We need a lot of faith and I must be the first to instill that in my side without anxiety or fear.

"I had seen Parma's games on tape, but it is much better to have direct contact with the players," continued Cuper on the official club website.

"I want to discover if there are players who have certain qualities that suit different things I need in the team. If there is the chance then I will change a few things, but it will take time.

"Psychologically the squad is doing well. I am a new Coach and so every member of the side has an equal opportunity of playing.

"When a player sees a new chance opening up to him, his focus improves to a remarkable degree. This is why I am not worried."
