FC Dallas forward Jeff Cunningham was over the moon after his four goal haul against Kansas City Wizards on the weekend.
Following the departure of leading scorer Kenny Cooper, Cunningham got his chance to perform and admitted that scoring four goals in the 6-0 rout was due to great assistance from his teammates.
"Tonight was a celebration," Cunningham said. "Tonight was one of those nights every striker dreams of.
"Everything you do goes well. ... I've got to thank my teammates. They were looking for me, you know?"
The six goals Dallas recorded equalled the club's previous best effort which was a 6-3 result over Colorado in 2001.
