Toronto FC pulled off a major upset in the Nutrilite Canadian Championship, beating Montreal 6-1 to secure the Championship that will qualify them for CONCACAF Champions Leagues next season. "People were writing us off," interim head coach Chris Cummins said. "We criticized ourselves for not scoring enough goals. We've got something building at the club. We're not going to rest on that. We're going to use this as a platform to kick on."
"I thought we thoroughly deserved it on the night," Cummins said. "We've gone for broke. People say we can't take our chances but tonight we've taken our chances. The club's going in the right direction. It's the first bit of silverware for Toronto and I can assure you it won't be the last. The club's going in the right direction"
