Socceroos midfielder Jason Culina is happy that the team still needs a point to qualify for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. After defeating Uzbekistan 2-0 on Wednesday night in Sydney, the Socceroos would have qualified if Qatar and Bahrain had of shared the points but that was not the case and the job is still in front of them.
"I think it's better that way," Culina told The Bulletin.
"We want to finish the job ourselves, not rely on other results ... there's more satisfaction in that.
"The equation now as far as we're concerned is go to Qatar, get the win and then celebrate. That would mean more than relying on others to do the job for us. We're confident every time we play."
