Carlos Cuellar has called on Aston Villa to maintain the spirit shown in defeat to Arsenal this week.
He believes those effort levels are all it takes to generate an enormous level of support from the fans.
"I thought we looked strong, solid and we created a lot of chances too. We had good opportunities to score more goals but that vital factor - luck - wasn't on our side.
"If we play like that for the rest of the season, we will give anyone a game. That is the way we must keep playing. We played so well, the attitude was spot on, everyone was fighting for the cause, chasing down and we played with heart. We will carry on like that. If we do, we won't lose too many games."The defender told Villa's website: "Despite the result, confidence is high. We have confidence is ourselves. We didn't have the best results against Manchester United and Liverpool but the performance against Arsenal was good.
