According to Sky Sports, Tianjin Quanjin are confident of signing Chelsea forward Diego Costa in the summer.
Reports came out yesterday detailing the supposed deal that would take place between the two clubs, however Tianjin representatives have since released a statement regarding the rumours.
"With regards to the current widespread rumours of Chelsea player Diego Costa joining Tianjin Quanjian, the club would like to make clear that no discussions have taken place regarding the transfer of Diego Costa," the statement read.
Despite their claims, the Chinese Super League's billionaire owner has come out and said that the club has made verbal agreements with 'two or three stars.'
Although Costa is contracted at Chelsea for another two years, the report states that Tianjin could make a move for the Spanish international when the Chinese transfer window opens on June 19.
