CSKA’s Honda desperate to make Lazio move

CSKA Moscow ace Keisuke Honda is determined to have a proposed move to Lazio come through.

The Japan international has been heavily linked with the Rome outfit and has told Nikkan Sports that he really hopes a deal can be done this winter.

"I want to go to Lazio. I'm confident over my transfer,” he said.

"The clubs are in the final phase of negotiations, but I've have not found an agreement yet with the club.

"In today's football world everything can happen in the last hour of the market window.

"My will is to go playing in the Italian championship.

"It isn't the best of the world and its level is down compared to the past, but it's one of the most difficult places as an attacking player."
