CSKA's Doumbia eyeing Italy, Spain or England switch

Seydou Doumbia insists he is ready to depart CSKA Moscow for a bigger challenge.

The 28-year old Ivory Coast striker is attracting plenty of interest after firing 28 goals in the Russian Premier League this season and admits he is looking to make the move to a better competition.

"Yes, more than ready," he told Corriere dello Sport when asked if he was ready for Italy's Serie A.

"And I'd also be willing to go to Spain or to England, the top leagues. I'd certainly be taking a leap forward in my career.

"I want to play in the Champions League, that's the competition that fascinates me.

"I'm disappointed because CSKA did not qualify. "It's useless to go to a club that is playing in the Champions League one year and not participating in European competition the next."
