CSKA Moscow would prefer AC Milan target Honda to rundown contract

CSKA Moscow president Yevgeni Giner would prefer Keisuke Honda run down his contract through to December.

AC Milan are keen to buy the Japan international this summer.

But Giner says: "Honda is free to talk to any club at the moment and he is free to leave for the right price. Rumour has it that I've been offered €1.5 or €2million for him, but I don't need it.

"He's an important player for the team and will help us earn more than €2million if we progress through the Champions League.

"If he plays well, he'll be in an even better position to sign a lucrative deal at the end of the year. It might not even be with Milan."
