Chelsea are currently losing their battle to sign the man tipped to be the next Pavel Nedved.
Kalouda is a current Czech Republic Under-20 international, and his all-action style has drawn comparisons with legendary midfielder Nedved.
However, CSKA Moscow have emerged as competition for the player's signature, and they may hold the ace card in being able to offer Kalouda instant first team football.
Brno's majority shareholder Roman Pros admits CSKA - not Chelsea - are currently in the driving seat for the summer signature.
"In football terminology, the ball is on CSKA's side of the pitch," Pros said in The Independent.
